Congratulations to our Executive Director, Jasmine White as she starts her new journey as CEO of Montgomery Community Media in Rockville, Maryland in February, where she worked prior to joining the Capital Community Media team.
Jasmine started with Capital Community Media on September 1, 2020 and since then has led CC:Media through organizational restructure, implementation of radio programming on 98.3 KMWV, and increased production services for hire, mostly during Covid shutdowns.
Jasmine takes with her a vast knowledge of production, media training, and nonprofit leadership experience but also a very deep understanding of the critical role community media plays in civic engagement and community building. Her vision for what CC:Media can become will be echoed moving forward.
Longtime employee and Operations Manager, Charles Lewis, has been appointed by CC:Media Board of Directors as Interim Executive Director. Charles’ extensive knowledge and experience, as well his relationships with CC:Media partners and staff, is invaluable for ensuring we continue to serve the city of Salem uninterrupted as the Board conducts a thorough, nationwide search for the next ED. Charles’ demonstrated commitment to the mission of CC:Media and passion for what we do is exactly what is needed at this time. We are very excited to have someone of Charles’ caliber and experience during this time.
Charles and Jasmine are working closely together this month to transition projects and prepare him for this new leadership journey.
